Saturday, August 28th: Hsing I Ch'uan Intensive Seminar

The Internal Arts Association of Michigan will be holding a "Hsing I Ch'uan Intensive" Seminar on Saturday, August 28th. This will be an all-day event from Noon to 6:30pm.

This program is open to the public: Any/all styles or experience are welcome. No prior martial arts experience is required.

Please pre-register no later than August 25th to secure your spot at a discounted rate! Anyone may attend without preregistration, but keep in mind space is limited, so sign up now!

Shudokan Martial Arts Association Judo Camp

Nicklaus Suino Sensei, SMAA Judo Division Director and sixth dan, will be offering a special summer event focused on traditional Kodokan judo. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn the following judo throws:

• Seoi Nage (“Shoulder Throw”)
• Harai Goshi (“Sweeping Hip Throw”)
• Uchi Mata (“Inner Thigh Throw”)
• De Ashi Barai (“Advancing Foot Sweep”)
• O Soto Gari (“Major Outside Reap”)

Suino Sensei will teach how these techniques can be used effectively in competition, but also in self-defense. These are skills that can benefit people in every martial art, and extensive prior judo experience is not needed, as instruction will be offered for both beginners and advanced judoka.
